Who am I?
In my narrow mind I believed design is simply imitating trends. After I delved into the topic through art history, communication design, marketing and typography my opinion and therefore my work changed drastically.
Design should enhance our experience on how we interact with it. Design should briefly convey relevant information, subconsciously evoke our emotions and tell an overarching story. Just aesthetically pleasing does not cut it in todays social-media-copycat-era.
Design has such a broad palette of what is possible, yet we limit ourselves to just a fraction of it. Good design is about creating something that lasts. My projects are just like me: efficient, order oriented, vibrant as well as a constant juggle between simple solutions and required complexity.
